A stunning relief moulded, hand painted 1930s jug by Burleigh (Burgess and Leigh). Hand painted with a garden scene in hot, zesty orange and green on a yellow ground. There are hand detailed tulips, delphiniums and hollyhocks with the handle formed of more clusters of flowers. Absolutely delightful - a perfect gift, alongside a bunch of spring flowers.
Very good condition, with no crazing of the glaze, no chips or cracks. There are 2 small areas of paint loss to the black detail on the rim, please see closeup.
