An antique sauce tureen decorated in the Cecil pattern, hand painted with dark blue and orange floral garlands and gilded around the motif, handles and finial.
Look at the handles - beautiful little faces with eyelashes.
Unfortunately there is a hairline crack starting in the lid, which doesn't affect the bottom piece, and is in good clean condition. We love this as a butter dish, or full of delicious Cumberland sauce.
