An antique cheese dish, decorated in busy imari colours with hand painted florals and chinoiserie country house scenes. No maker's mark but the pattern does suggest it's an early Ridgway from about 1880. 

There are a few historic nibbles out of corners (please see pictures) which in our opinion do not detract from the splendid overall look of the piece, and some discolouration to the glaze of the bottom plate.
