This vintage impasto is so evocative of the movement of the sea, you can hear the waves rolling and crashing as you look at it. The oils have been built up and up into really great texture on the board. The edges do have some wear and there are a few spots on the oil that could be cleaned by a confident restorer.
A candidate for cleaning and framing, or just propping on a shelf and dreaming of the water.
