A gorgeous pair of blue and white hexagonal ceramic cricket cages, 19th century China, primarily used to house crickets prized for their soothing song. Wonderful as candle holders, or for dried flowers or pot pourri.
Each holder takes a large tealight. They are 8cm tall and 11cm wide, and show signs of their age - some hairline cracks in the cage walls, one of which has been historially mended with a kintsugi gold repair.
